Ellen Mather

Ellen was born on April 2nd, 1798 in Croft and her baptism took place on April 29th, 1798 at St. Oswald (Winwick).¹

Ellen's father was William Mather and her mother was Martha Welch.  Her paternal grandparents were William Mather and Ann Monks. She had five brothers and six sisters, named William, William, Thomas, James, John, Jane, Ann, Elizabeth, Mary, Margaret and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 3 in April 1801 in Croft.  She was buried on April 29th, 1801 at St. Oswald (Winwick).¹
