Sarah Mather

Sarah was born in 1828 in Blackrod and her baptism took place on August 24th, 1828 at St. Katherine (B'rod).¹

Sarah's father was Nathan Mather and her mother was Alice Makinson.  Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Entwistle. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John, Nathan, Richard, Ann, Mary, Alice, Elizabeth, Ellen and Agnes.  She was the youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 8 on August 19th, 1836 in Blackrod.  She was buried on August 19th, 1836 at St. Katherine (B'rod).²
