Nathan Mather

Nathan was born in 1814 in Blackrod and his baptism took place on November 19th, 1815 at St. Katherine (B'rod).¹

Nathan's father was Nathan Mather and his mother was Alice Makinson.  His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Entwistle. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named John, Richard, Ann, Mary, Alice, Elizabeth, Ellen, Agnes and Sarah.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 69 in October 1883 in Wigan.  He was buried on October 9th, 1883 in Blackrod.^2 2
