Alice Mather

Alice was born in 1818 in Blackrod. Alice's father was Nathan Mather and her mother was Alice Makinson. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Entwistle. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John, Nathan, Richard, Ann, Mary, Elizabeth, Ellen, Agnes and Sarah. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children.

General Notes
- 29 Nov 1840, Alice Mather of Euxton, daughter of Nathan, a farmer married John Waring. Both were servants. They married by licence.
  
  1844-52, after they married there were 5 births registered at Chorley, Preston.
  
  In 1851 John and Alice (35 & 33) were at Welsh Wittle, Lancashire with John (6), Ann (5), Alice (3), and Thomas (2)
