John Mather

John was born on July 19th, 1811 in Blackrod and his baptism took place on August 4th, 1811 at St. Katherine (B'rod).¹

Birth Notes

John's father was Nathan Mather and his mother was Alice Makinson. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Entwistle. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Nathan, Richard, Ann, Mary, Alice, Elizabeth, Ellen, Agnes and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 19 in April 1831 in Blackrod. He was buried on April 29th, 1831 in Blackpool.²²
