Rachel Mather

Rachel was born in October 1852 in Little Bolton and her baptism took place at All Saints, Little Bolton.¹

Rachel's father was Henry Mather and her mother was Sarah Blackburn. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Hannah Knowles. She had five sisters named Hannah, Mary, Ann, Sarah and Sarah. She was the fourth oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 55 in 1907 in Bolton.²
