Mary Ann Mather

Mary was born in June 1848 in Sharples and her baptism took place on June 11th, 1848 at St. Paul's (Astley Bridge).¹²

Birth Notes

Mary's father was Henry Mather and her mother was Sarah Blackburn. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Hannah Knowles. She had five sisters named Hannah, Ann, Rachel, Sarah and Sarah. She was the second oldest of the six children.
