Peggy's father was Nathan Mather and her mother was Betty Green.  Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Green and Margaret Speakman. She had four brothers named John, Abraham, Abraham and James.  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Matthew, Abraham, Thomas, Sarah, Betty and Mary.  She died at 7 months old in August 1789 in WestLeigh.  She was buried on August 2nd, 1789 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Leigh).¹
