Peggy was born in January 1789 in WestLeigh and her baptism took place on January 17th, 1789 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Leigh).1  Peggy's father was Nathan Mather and her mother was Betty Green.  Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Green and Margaret Speakman. She had four brothers named John, Abraham, Abraham and James.  She was the fourth oldest of the five children. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Matthew, Abraham, Thomas, Sarah, Betty and Mary.  She died at 7 months old in August 1789 in WestLeigh.  Her burial was on August 2nd, 1789 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Leigh).1
