James Mather

James was born in April 1790 in WestLeigh and his baptism took place on April 17th, 1790 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Leigh).¹

James' father was Nathan Mather and his mother was Betty Green. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Green and Margaret Speakman. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, Abraham, Abraham and Peggy. He was the youngest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Matthew, Abraham, Thomas, Sarah, Betty and Mary. He died in April 1790 in WestLeigh. His burial was on April 10th, 1790 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Leigh).²
