Mary was born on February 28th, 1792 in Prescot and her baptism took place there on March 18th, 1792.1  Mary's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Elizabeth Garswood.  Her paternal grandparents were Ralph Mather and Ann Thompson. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Ralph, Thomas, William, William, William, Margaret, John, Elizabeth, Ann, Ellen and Mary.  She died at 8 months old in October 1792 in Prescot.  She was buried on October 17th, 1792 in Prescot.1
