Ann's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Elizabeth Garswood.  Her paternal grandparents were Ralph Mather and Ann Thompson. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Ralph, Thomas, William, William, William, Margaret, John, Mary, Elizabeth, Ellen and Mary.  She died at the age of 2 in October 1799 in Prescot.  She was buried on October 20th, 1799 in Prescot.¹
