Mary was born in December 1810 in Bolton and her baptism took place on December 9th, 1810 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Mary's father was Charles Mather and her mother was Alice Lever.  Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann (Nancy) Greenwood. She had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John and Ann.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named James, Charles, William, John, John and Betsy.  She died whilst giving birth at the age of 33 in August 1844 in Little Bolton.  She was buried on August 12th, 1844 at St. Peter's (Bolton).2 2

‌Mary and Abraham were married in a religious ceremony on November 4th, 1832 at St. Peter's (Bolton) by minister Thomas Airey and witnessed by John Lee & James Liptrot.3   They had three sons and a daughter, named Abraham, Charles, John and Nancy.  There are no more children.
