Ann's father was Charles Mather and her mother was Alice Lever.  Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann (Nancy) Greenwood. She had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John and Mary.  She was the oldest of the four children. She had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named James, Charles, William, John, John and Betsy.
