Abraham was born in 1834 in Bolton.1  Abraham's father was Abraham Nabb and his mother was Mary Mather.  His maternal grandparents were Charles Mather and Alice Lever. He had two brothers and a sister, named Charles, John and Nancy.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother named James.
