Nancy was born in 1838 in Bolton.1  Nancy's father was Abraham Nabb and her mother was Mary Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were Charles Mather and Alice Lever. She had three brothers named Abraham, Charles and John.  She was the second oldest of the four children. She had a half-brother named James.
