Joseph Mather

Joseph was born in October 1882 in Little Bolton and his baptism took place on August 8th, 1883 at St. George (Little Bolton).¹²

Joseph's father was James Mather and his mother was Maria Hulme. His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Susanna (Susan) Whalley. He had a brother and five sisters, named Nathaniel, Margaret, Martha, Mary, Polly and Emma. He had an adopted brother named Walter. He died at the age of 75 on February 9th, 1958 in Turton.¹
