Ellen Mather

Ellen was born on August 19th, 1831 in Manchester and her baptism took place on April 21st, 1875.¹²

Ellen's father was John (Mechanic) Mather and her mother was Ann Thompson. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, John, John, Thomas, Jane and Martha. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Thomas, Betty and Sarah. She died at the age of 50 in 1881 in Manchester.³

- In 1851 Ellen (Head, Unmarried, Dress Maker) was at 28 Jersey Street, just a few doors away from her mother and brother Thomas at No. 46. She was recorded as being from Dublin (but that was also for her two lodgers).
  
  25 May 1852, Thomas Warburton of 41 Turner Street married Ellen Mather of 28 Jersey Street. Her father was John Mather, a Mechanic.
  
  Recorded as "Helen" Warburton for the baptism of James Thomas in 1856 and "Ellen" for Smith in 1857
  
  Ellen died in 1881, aged 52
