John Mather

John was born in 1821 in Manchester and his baptism took place on June 10th, 1821 at Manchester Cathedral.¹

John's father was John (Mechanic) Mather and his mother was Ann Thompson. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, John, Thomas, Jane, Martha and Ellen. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Thomas, Betty and Sarah. He died about 1822 in Manchester.

- Must have died 1821-23 and another John baptised in 1823

General Notes
- John may have died an infant, as another John was baptised 22 June 1823, also at Manchester Cathedral. However, there are no death or burial records. Perhaps he was baptised twice!
