Joseph Mather

Joseph was born in December 1818 in Little Bolton and his baptism took place on January 3rd, 1819 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Joseph's father was John (Mechanic) Mather and his mother was Ann Thompson. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, John, Thomas, Jane, Martha and Ellen.  Joseph and Jane were twins. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Thomas, Betty and Sarah.  He died at the age of 77 in 1895 in New South Wales.  He was buried in NSW.

‌Joseph and Bridget were married in a religious ceremony on January 19th, 1840 at Manchester Cathedral witnessed by William Lynch & Mary Crush.²   The family line is yet to be completed.
