Ann Mather

Ann was born on June 3rd, 1811 in Withnell and her baptism took place on July 12th, 1811 at St. Laurence (Chorley).¹²

Ann's father was Ralph Mather and her mother was Ann Clarkson. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Esther Mason; her maternal grandparents were Peter Clarkson and Ann Constantine. She had three brothers and five sisters, named James, John, Alexander, Jane, Mary, Sarah, Betty and Peggy. She was the eighth oldest of the nine known children. She died at the age of 64 on January 22nd, 1876 in New Zealand.³
