Jane Mather

Jane was born on April 13th, 1792 in Withnell and her baptism took place on May 4th, 1792 at St. Laurence (Chorley).¹²

Jane's father was Ralph Mather and her mother was Ann Clarkson. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Esther Mason; her maternal grandparents were Peter Clarkson and Ann Constantine. She had three brothers and five sisters, named James, John, Alexander, Mary, Sarah, Betty, Peggy and Ann. She was the oldest of the nine known children. She died after 1861.
