Alice Mather

Alice was born in March 1843 in Turton.¹

Alice's father was Holt Mather and her mother was Alice Vickers.  Her paternal grandparents were William Mather and Betty Holt. She had a brother and six sisters, named Thomas, Mary, Rosannah, Lavinia, Ellen, Jane and Maria.  She was the second youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 65 in November 1908.  She was buried on December 1st, 1908 in Hindley.²
