Abraham Mather

Abraham was born in January 1841 in Entwistle.¹

Abraham's father was James Mather and his mother was Martha Kay. His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Rachel Hamer. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, Jonathan, Amos, Eli, James, Sarah and Nancy. He was the fifth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 80 on May 14th, 1921 in Edgworth. His burial was on May 17th, 1921 at St. Anne (Turton).²²
