Elizabeth's father was Levi Lomax and her mother was Margaret Booth. Her maternal grandparents were James Booth and Ann Mather. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named James, George, George, William, Samuel, Albert, Ernest, Mary and Jane. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 2 in December 1870 in Bolton.¹
