In April 1776, Thomas Hopley of Shocklach, aged 19 and upwards married Ann Pritchard, also 19 and upwards with the consent of both parents, Thomas Hopley and Daniel Pritchard by license.
According to Thomas Hopley's Will, Thomas moved to Worthenbury, Flintshire. He was left 1s. He was already a landowner (Yeoman) at the age on 19. When his motheer Catherine died in 1810, Thomas was left out of her Will.
Soon after Thomas and Ann were married, son William was born. That is why they married at the age of 19.
Ann's baptism of 1792 shows their abode as "The Wern", Worthenbury
