Anne Hopley

Anne was born in March 1750 in Shocklach and her christening took place there on March 17th, 1750.¹

Anne's father was Thomas Hopley and her mother was Catherine Lewis. Her paternal grandparents were William Hopley and Anne Williams. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named William, John, Thomas, James, Robert, Samuel, Peter, Charles, Mary and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 76 in April 1826 in Cheshire. Her burial was on April 26th, 1826 in Shocklach.²²

- Eldest daughter Ann married George Green. She was left 1s by her father and nothing by her mother. However, her youngest son GHeorge Green inherited £5 from Catherine in 1810.
  
  Ann was only 17 when she married George, who was 28, but then Ann's parants were also young when they married.
