James Greenhalgh

James was born in 1838 in Bolton and his baptism took place on August 19th, 1838 at St. Mary (Deane).¹²

James' father was James Greenhalgh and his mother was Alice Hardman. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Joseph, Wright, William, Mary, Rachel, Sarah and Ellen. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, William, John, Handel and Sarah. He died at the age of 9 in 1847 in Bolton.³
