Sarah was born in 1826 in Bolton and her baptism took place on April 23rd, 1826 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Sarah's father was James Greenhalgh and her mother was Hannah Blakeley. She had four brothers named Thomas, William, John and Handel.  She was the second oldest of the five children. She had five half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Robert, James, Joseph, Wright, William, Mary, Rachel, Sarah and Ellen.  She died about 1832 in Bolton.  She was buried on August 15th, 1832 at St. Peter's (Bolton).2
