William Crook

William was born in March 1753 in Darcy Lever and his baptism took place on March 11th, 1753 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

William's father was John Crook and his mother was Margaret Sharples.  His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Crook and Alice Lomax. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, James, Joshua, Samuel and Betty.  He was the youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 70 in October 1823 in Darcy Lever.  He was buried on October 23rd, 1823 at All Saints, Little Bolton.^2 2
