William Crook

William was born in November 1780 in Darcy Lever and his baptism took place on November 26th, 1780 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

William's father was William Crook and his mother was Alice Aldred. His paternal grandparents were John Crook and Margaret Sharples. He had five brothers and a sister, named Daniel, Joshua, James, Thomas, Samuel and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 87 in September 1868 in Bolton.³
