Roseanna was born on May 3rd, 1852 in Bingley and her baptism took place on December 12th, 1852 at All Saints (Bingley).¹²

Birth Notes

Roseanna's father was Moses Briggs and her mother was Alice Pickles. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Briggs and Abigail Bradshaw; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Pickles and Mary Roberts. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named Mark, William, Harriet, Caroline, Abigail, Emma, Mary, Alice and Emma. She was the oldest of the ten children.
