Emma was born in June 1861 in Bingley.¹

Birth Notes

Emma's father was Moses Briggs and her mother was Alice Pickles. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Briggs and Abigail Bradshaw; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Pickles and Mary Roberts. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named Mark, William, Roseanna, Harriet, Caroline, Abigail, Mary, Alice and Emma. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 3 in April 1865 in Bingley. She was buried on April 9th, 1865 at All Saints (Bingley).²
