Joseph Blackburn

Joseph was born in 1833 at Park Gate and his baptism took place on October 27th, 1833 in Almondbury.¹

Joseph's father was George Blackburn and his mother was Phebe Oldham. His paternal grandparents were Michael Blackburn and Hannah Eastwood. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Michael, Hannah, Mary and Ellen. He was the fifth oldest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Jonathan, John, George, Hannah, Elizabeth and Lydia. He died at the age of 71 in 1904.

General Notes
- Joseph was 8 in 1841 and listed out of order, before his other siblings. His baptism confirms his parents, although there is another Joseph son of Michael and Charlotte Blackburn born the same year.
