Michael was born in July 1763 in Newsome and his christening took place on December 28th, 1763 in Almondbury.1 2  Michael's father was Michael Blackburn and his mother was Hannah Scover. He had two brothers and a sister, named Matthew, John and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Matthew, John, Joseph, John, Sarah, Susana, Anne, Sarah, Hanah, Mary, Sarah and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 72 on June 10th, 1836 in Almondbury.  He was buried on June 14th, 1836 in Almondbury.3 4

‌Michael and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on December 17th, 1792 in Almondbury.5  They had a daughter named Hannah.  There are no more children.

‌Michael and Hannah were married in a religious ceremony on May 2nd, 1798 in Almondbury.7  They had four sons named John, Joseph, George and Uriah.  There are no more children.  John and Joseph were twins.
