John Blackburn

John was born in 1768 in Newsome and his baptism took place on July 14th, 1768 in Almondbury.¹²

John's father was Michael Blackburn and his mother was Hannah Scover. He had two brothers and a sister, named Michael, Matthew and Mary. He was the youngest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Matthew, John, Joseph, John, Sarah, Susana, Anne, Sarah, Hanah, Mary, Sarah and Elizabeth.
