Marion Gilbert Shaffner

Marion Gilbert was born on May 15th, 1882.¹   Marion Gilbert's father was John J. Schaffner and his mother was Harriet Jane Minich.  His paternal grandparents were Andrew Schaffner and Phoebe Hoffman. He had six brothers and nine sisters, named Harry George, Jacob O., Edgar, Charles, Nettie P., Ralph, Annie Elizabeth, Katharine Nolen, Rosie, Emma E., Helen, Nora, Alice, Harriet and Bertha.  He was the eighth youngest of the sixteen children.  He died at the age of 66 in 1948.¹
