Katharine Nolen Shaffner

Katharine Nolen was born on January 22nd, 1872.¹   Katharine Nolen's father was John J. Schaffner and her mother was Harriet Jane Minich.  Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Schaffner and Phoebe Hoffman. She had seven brothers and eight sisters, named Harry George, Jacob O., Edgar, Charles, Nettie P., Marion Gilbert, Ralph, Annie Elizabeth, Rosie, Emma E., Helen, Nora, Alice, Harriet and Bertha.  She was the third oldest of the sixteen children.  She died at the age of 13 on December 23rd, 1885.¹
