Bertha Shaffner

Bertha was born on March 6th, 1893.¹   Bertha's father was John J. Schaffner and her mother was Harriet Jane Minich.  Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Schaffner and Phoebe Hoffman. She had seven brothers and eight sisters, named Harry George, Jacob O., Edgar, Charles, Nettie P., Marion Gilbert, Ralph, Annie Elizabeth, Katharine Nolen, Rosie, Emma E., Helen, Nora, Alice and Harriet.  She was the youngest of the sixteen children.  She died on March 6th, 1893.¹
