John William Waldrip 
John William was born on March 12th, 1866 in Coosa Co., AL.1 John William's father was Asa Melton Waldrip and his mother was Martha Thomas Sears. His paternal grandparents were William Waldrip and Margaret Flowers; his maternal grandparents were John A. Sears and Tabitha Jane Buckner. He had six brothers and four sisters, named George Sanford, James Robert, Joseph Guy, Asa Franklin, Edward Stewart, Smith Graham, Margaret Tabitha, Ann Marvin, Harriet McCary and Effie C.. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 80 on December 20th, 1946 in Coosa Co., AL. He was buried in Goodwater Cemetery, Coosa Co., AL.1 1 General Notes

"John T. McEwen, formerly with Messers. Stewart and Waldrip in the
blacksmith and wagon repair business in Rockford, is moving to the McEwen
old place four miles north of here and will take charge of the McEwen
