James Robert Waldrip 
James Robert was born on April 8th, 1870 in Coosa Co., AL.1 James Robert's father was Asa Melton Waldrip and his mother was Martha Thomas Sears. His paternal grandparents were William Waldrip and Margaret Flowers; his maternal grandparents were John A. Sears and Tabitha Jane Buckner. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John William, George Sanford, Joseph Guy, Asa Franklin, Edward Stewart, Smith Graham, Margaret Tabitha, Ann Marvin, Harriet McCary and Effie C.. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 91 on August 28th, 1961 in Sylacauga, Talladega Co., AL. He was buried in Sears Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Coosa Co., AL about a mile and a half north of Rockford, AL..1 1 General Notes

"J. R. Waldrip, of Hanover, was in town Monday in the interest of good
roads in that part of the county. He and Commissioner Levie and other
members of the community are taking an active interest in the matter and
have already made considerable improvements on Mt. Olive road and propose
to continue the good work to completion."(1)

"J. R. Waldrip, of this place, and H. E. Moore, of Goodwater, went
fishing a few days since and now claim that they broke all former records
