Jessie Waldrip 
Jessie was born in 1887 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Jessie's father was John William Waldrip and her mother was Mary E. Knox. Her paternal grandparents were Asa Melton Waldrip and Martha Thomas Sears. She had five sisters named Tommie Ruth, Robbie, Willie, Clyde and Fannie. She died at the age of 66 in 1953 in ?.1 General Notes

THE CHRONICLE
School Opens
"The Rockford District School will open Monday the 25th of September at
the district school house in Rockford, with Prof. J. Bently as principle
and Miss Jesse Waldrip assistant. The faculty is desirous of a full
enrollment on opening day and they cordially solicit the resence of all
the patrons and others interested in the course of education on that
occasion."(1)

"Miss Jessie Waldrip, who has been teaching in the Rockford District
school, left last Saturday to enter the State Normal School at
Jacksonville, Ala. Miss Waldrip is a brilliant young lady of strong
character and has a field of usefulness before her and many friends here
who are proud of her advancement."(2)
