George W. Rushing 
George W. was born on July 29th, 1903 in Coffee Co., AL.1 George W.'s father was John MacDonald Rushing and his mother was Missouri Ann Cook. His paternal grandparents were Mathew M. (Mack) Rushing and Sarah Jane Amerson; his maternal grandparents were John F. Cook and Ann Miller. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Edlow, Alto P., Alvie Roscoe, Lillie Mae, Sarah Ann, Mary Alice and Onvie Marion. He was the oldest of the eight children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Ronald Hubbard, Grover Cleveland, Rufus Sanders, Cecil Walter, Mamie Eudora, Claudie Bell and Pearlie. He died at the age of 40 on July 30th, 1943 in Coffee Co., AL.1 General Notes
