Beatrice McEwen 
Beatrice was born on January 3rd, 1892 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Beatrice's father was George Washington, Jr. McEwen and her mother was Attis Alice Allen. Her paternal grandparents were George Washington McEwen and Mary Catherine Sears; her maternal grandparents were Francis Marion Allen and Martha Ann Wood. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Francis Washington, John Sears, George Molton, Benjamin Jasper, Tom Slaughter, Mary Fannie, Tulloloh May, Annie Elizabeth and Ida Willene. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 28 on February 21st, 1920 in AL. She was buried in Sears Chapel Cemetery, located about a mile north of Rockford, AL..1 1 General Notes

"A nice little quite marriage was solemnized at the brides home of Mr.
and Mrs. Geo. W. McEwen, Wednesday evening, May 6, 1914, at 4 o’clock p.
m. The contracting parties were Mr. D. P. Harden, a prominent business
man of Rockford, and Miss Beatrice McEwen a lovable country girl with all
of the qualification to make a man a good wife. Rev. A. C. Norman
officiated. We extend our heartiest congratulations. We understand they
will occupy the Frank McEwen home on North Main St."(1)
