Malinda was born on September 21st, 1821 in Blount Co., TN.1 Malinda's father was Henry Logan and her mother was Martha Ann George. Her paternal grandparents were David Logan and Hannah (?). She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Ellis, Bloomfield, Mary Ann, Mahala, Marthabea E. and Elizabeth Ann. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Samuel Houston, Martha Missouri and Lou Annie. She died at the age of 80 on December 16th, 1901 in Coosa Co., AL.
