Julia Ann was born on May 8th, 1827 in Alabama.1   Julia Ann's father was Robert* Jackson, Sr. Garrett and her mother was Mary* Ann Clackler.  Her paternal grandparents were John* Garrett and Frances* "Fanny" Callihan; her maternal grandparents were John* Clackler and Mary* Fudge. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named William Walter, John Mason, Thomas B, Sr, Overstreet Wiley, Robert* Jackson, Jr., James C., Joshua English, Elizabeth Ann, Sophronia "Sophia", Francis Ann and Sarah Annie.  She was the youngest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 76 on September 23rd, 1903 in Elba, Coffee County, Alabama.  She was buried in Holland-Grimes Cemetery, Elba, Coffee county, Alabama.1 1

‌Julia Ann and John William were married in a religious ceremony in 1846 in Elba, Coffee County, Alabama.2   They had five sons and five daughters, named Robert Mason, James Shorter, Joshua English, John Franklin, William Bartley, Mary Catherine, Louisa A., Sarah Elizabeth, Julia Evaline and Martha Fanny.
