Robert Mason Grimes 
Robert Mason was born on January 31st, 1851 in Elba, Coffee County, Alabama.1 Robert Mason's father was John William Grimes and his mother was Julia Ann Garrett. His paternal grandparents were John Grimes and Catharine Frederick; his maternal grandparents were Robert* Jackson, Sr. Garrett and Mary* Ann Clackler. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James Shorter, Joshua English, John Franklin, William Bartley, Mary Catherine, Louisa A., Sarah Elizabeth, Julia Evaline and Martha Fanny. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 71 on January 2nd, 1923 in Alabama.1 -
