Julia Evaline was born on April 28th, 1854 in Elba, Coffee County, Alabama.1 Julia Evaline's father was John William Grimes and her mother was Julia Ann Garrett. Her paternal grandparents were John Grimes and Catharine Frederick; her maternal grandparents were Robert* Jackson, Sr. Garrett and Mary* Ann Clackler. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Robert Mason, James Shorter, Joshua English, John Franklin, William Bartley, Mary Catherine, Louisa A., Sarah Elizabeth and Martha Fanny. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 79 on September 5th, 1933 in Covington County, Alabama. She was buried in Brooklyn Cemetery, Opp, Alabama.1 1 -
