There was a John Clackley who served in the militia under Col. Thomas.

1790, p. 509, col. 3:
John Clacker 1 0 6 0 0 This tells me that all of his sons were born after
1790. He had five daughters first!! On the same page as several Fudges, a
Rich, a Martin, Grandmother Fudge not far, several Pursleys and Jacob
Fudge. The Busseys weren't too far away.
1800 census. The printed version had him as John Oh---ely. I looked at
the actual image online, and it was John Clakely, ours. He had the
following:
3 0 1 1 0 // 3 3 0 1 0, listed on p. 150. I see John Butler, several
Jones families, a Samuel Roper near John Garrett, no Rice, and no other
Clacklers, Grumbles. The sons must have still been at home, as indicated
by the numbers.

she has two sons at home) 0 0 2 0 1 and 2 working in agriculture. Next
door to Quarles, eight from Morris Calliham, Rebecca Roper (26-45) 3
away, John Garrett on the page before, with John Butler near him, Bussey
families near Garrett, Alexander Stewart near Mary.

p. 47, 4 June 1814:
I, John Clacker, being sick & weak in body but of perfect mind & memory.
I give unto my dtr. Sarah Rice one feather bed & furniture & two cows &
calves which she received when she married.. I give to my dtr. Mary
Garrett one feather bed & furniture & two cows & calves which she
received when she married..I give to my dtr. Sophia Roper one feather bed
& furniture & one cow & calf which she received when she married.. I give
to my dtr. Margett Jones one feather bed and furniture which she received
when she married.. I give unto my dtr. Elizabeth Butler one feather bed &
furniture which she received when she married.. I give unto my son
Solomon Clacker one bay mare which he now has.. I give unto my sons and
dtrs. Jacob, John, Rebeecah & Martha Clacker each one feather bed &
furniture when they come of age or marriage and my executors is to take
charge of any minor children and their property.. I give to my wife Mary
Clacker all my personal property that may remain after my decease and the
children have received what was willed to them during her natural life &
then to be equally divided among all my children or their heirs, I also
give to Solomon, Jacob, and John.. I desire that the tract of land lying
in the pine woods to be sold and the money equally divided amongst, Sarah
Reice, Mary Garrett, Sophia Rober, Margarett Jones, Elizabeth Butler,
Rebecca & Martha Clacker.. I appoint John Butler, John Roper as
executors...
