John Mason Garrett 
John Mason was born on March 6th, 1805 in South Carolina.1 John Mason's father was Robert* Jackson, Sr. Garrett and his mother was Mary* Ann Clackler. His paternal grandparents were John* Garrett and Frances* "Fanny" Callihan; his maternal grandparents were John* Clackler and Mary* Fudge. He had six brothers and five sisters, named William Walter, Thomas B, Sr, Overstreet Wiley, Robert* Jackson, Jr., James C., Joshua English, Elizabeth Ann, Sophronia "Sophia", Francis Ann, Sarah Annie and Julia Ann. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 66 on March 16th, 1871 in Calhoun County, Arkansas.1 -
