Joshua English Garrett 
Joshua English was born on November 30th, 1824 in Montgomery County, Alabama.1 Joshua English's father was Robert* Jackson, Sr. Garrett and his mother was Mary* Ann Clackler. His paternal grandparents were John* Garrett and Frances* "Fanny" Callihan; his maternal grandparents were John* Clackler and Mary* Fudge. He had six brothers and five sisters, named William Walter, John Mason, Thomas B, Sr, Overstreet Wiley, Robert* Jackson, Jr., James C., Elizabeth Ann, Sophronia "Sophia", Francis Ann, Sarah Annie and Julia Ann. He was the second youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 51 on March 26th, 1876 in Elba, Coffee County, Alabama.1 -
